Kotor, Montenegro 2011
Arriving in pouring rain from Budva, did not dampen my spirits. in the least. Even the old cabbie taking advantage of me, overcharging me slightly, with no tourists in town, did no greatly bother me. I saw Kotor and was immediately impressed. Not only that, I was living inside of the medieval walls of the old city. Could it get any better? |
South is actually on the right edge here and the red arrow points at the southgate.
It was a dark and rainy day - but, as ever, I am looking for some opportunities here. |
I loved the way the wet clouds were sliding down the mountains and marched off to the bay to watch the spectacle there. |
The Church of Our Lady of Remedy, on the hill, is a waypoint for those who ascend the stairs to climb the mountain above Kotor |
Welcome visitors for the late season for the local businesses |
And there they were, swarming all over town. |
St. Luke's Church |
Light - the photographer's best friend |
By now everyone who followed my travels can figure out what this little item is: Medieval indoor/outdoor plumbing |
