Time to light up the night. In the background you can see the stairs to the Church of Our Lady of Remedy, illuminated. Other parts are illuminated but are inaccessible. This is the northern city wall by the moat. The picture above this one is the southgate.

It drizzled that night and I took advantage of the effect. St. Tryphon's Cathedral is pre-Gothic and was consecrated in 1166.

An earlier church on this location was built in 809 AD, hence the date on the wall..
