I had been looking forward to Split and had read much about it. It is a woman's dream. If you have the money, there is an entire palace packed with boutiques and surrounded by shops and wonderful cafes and restaurants with a view to die for. For the history buff, there are interesting sites to visit, in fact, you may live right inside of the walled palace district. If you love the outdoors, there are very nice hikes, bike, and jogging areas for you to delight in.
