I saw the statue with the toe gleaming and then went to look at an old Roman gate. When I came back, these two were at the foot of the statue.

When asked if they might pose, the lovely lady agreed, but her little charge was rather shy about it. That did not last long, however.

I cherish these brief and special moments of social interaction, but unless I travel alone, they would never happen. Although, there are times when traveling with others is desirable.
