The Corinth Canal

The train ride from Corinth to Athens provides not only gorgeous coastal views, but also a peek at this old canal, desired by the Romans to allow them to quickly moved their fleets from one side of Greece to the other, but finally started by the French in 1882 and completed by the Greeks 11 years later.
