To
the tourists' surprise and delight, a Buddhist festival was in progress
at the time of our visit ( early to middle of Feb 98). We had the opportunity
to see the Angkor Wat populated by a large congregation of orange-robed
monks and white-robed nuns (background). Unfortunately it was getting
dark and only the full moon provided illumination for this wonderful display.
