Dead Sea

The Dead Sea. You can see the shore of Jordan in the distance

 

Me, on the oily brine, floating like a cork. Just don't get it in the eyes. The have showers along the shore.

 

Part of a group of Hebrew Summer School students applying mud packs. They were a mix of US and Israeli kids. When they offered a mudpack to me, I told them that it was too late for me, and much too soon for them to use those things.

 

I was touring with a six people group from a couple of guesthouses. This one is from Australia and was a bit shy to take the top off.

On the way back to Jerusalem from the West Bank, before we passed through the military roadblocks, we made a quick stop for lunch on Palestine, and had a look at the site of Jericho, or what's left of it.
