The Sultan's Elephant

I set myself up near the Horse Guards Round and awaited the arrival of the troupe |

The word was out and the place was mobbed |
 |
The little girl made her entrance |
 |
And was gently lifted, into a waiting rocket. The elephant caresses her good-bye |
 |
The rocket was closed and we waitied for what came next |
 |
A last farewell |
 |
And an explosion of foil, then steam, and then... |
 |
...ingnition, and then the little explorer was gone |
 |
The elephant settled down and the whole team of entertainers lined up to a thunderous ovation |
 |
Time to leave. It was the end of a very interesting two days. I did, btw, purchase the offered music CD. |
