Yokota Air Base

The Tokyo Tower. Been on top, but that's another link. I usually do Sodoku or crossword puzzles on my ride in, but just happened to look up and see it

Over the last couple of years I watched this area grow and now there is a large stadium and this pavillion getting ready for the Olympic Summer games in 2020

And here we go, the Hotel New Sanno giftshop already carries the very first of the Tokyo Games related souveniers. They told me that this was just a small selection of what they had ordered and what will soon arrive. Ok, let's say, the best is yet to come.

Yes, they love cats over here, provided they're not strays. Dragon caps? Probably not so much.

Took a very fast trip to S. Korea.. Sadly, the Yongsan Army base had moved a painting concession store off base to a different part of S. Korea. Great loss, IMO. I was/am very bummed. These young ladies I shared the ride with, were wives of the C-130 squadron air and ground crew members, off on a little shopping trip.

I was the laughing stock of the Buddha, as you can tell. I only came back with a couple of things and some flower pics.

While going through security before boarding, I discovered yet another lovely work of art at the Yokota AB terminal. This gorgeous, hand painted Shoji Screen..

And that's a wrap. Heading somewhat disappointed (my Sri Lanka trip didn't happen) back to Travis AFB and home.
