Downtown Central Tokyo

After leaving the Palace, I needed to get to a station that would take me to Ueno. I detoured through the center of town, because I made a wrong turn? Of course not, because I had never been here. Well, ok, I took a wrong turn, but really had never been here and didn't mind.

It is Sunday afternoon and this is a pedestrian-only shopping street. Very expensive and exclusive stores are here, and little eateries.

After admiring the Lamborghini coming by, I looked at the full-sized image when editing, and suddenly realize that the driver was clearly well-known to the women. Just look at their excited expressions (not of the guys, so much). He may have been a movie or TV personality. No telling. All I know is this, if you or I had been driving by in this car, we would not have elicited the same reactions.

So, after taking the proper turn, I found the train station. First I stopped over on the left, to watch this lovely sales lady pushing something

The only derelict I saw on my travel around downtown Tokyo, making a spectactle of himself, sleeping off some excess bamboo juice he might have imbibed. And, yes, he was a Panda.

A lesser JR station, but it served. Once I got my platform right, I watched a shinkansen (bullet train) whisk by, and a green line, that I needed (but in the other direction).
