Akihabara

Tokyo

Akihabara - The most Nerdy and Geeky Part of Tokyo

It's a place I rarely miss stopping by, when in Tokyo. It's fun and interesting and I'm not the only one who thinks this way. It rocks on Friday and Saturday evening. Alas, this was Sunday afternoon. Still, never empty of visitors and always fun to be there. Aki is all about hobbies and shopping. Also, a great place for the lost and lonely. Here you will be in excellent company. If you are looking for manga books or posters, they're here, figurines, dolls, plastic models, expensively finished or for you to finish, yup, they've got them. Cameras, electronics, games, girls, etc. etc. and even gambing, it's all here and tons of restaurants, large and small, that fit every wallet.

Be they scale models, here, the top one, finished by a master scale modeler, which are sold as unfinished kits, or computer printed figures, some sold factory finished, of cartoon shows, video games, and manga novels chracters, or done to exacting detail by individual artists, who have them on display here for all to admire their skill and customization talent. I say, it's all good.

The stores even run classes here, in house, where they teach mdelers how to airbrush and cleanly assemble models

The Akihabara JR (Japanese Rail) station to take me cross town to Fussa station, from where I then walk to Yokota Air Base.
