Yokota Air Base, Japan

Fussa

This time really in a hurry to get back for an appointment with some contractors, and so, everything was against me. But I made it anyway.

After a long delay in Osan AB, got out on a Patriot Express to Yokota AB, and got some nice shots of Mt. Fuji. Except, the way my bag was stored, I couldn't get to my camera and had to use the iPad. I was quite upset. Still, better than nothing.

The pitlot,(to mock me), this time, flew a half circle around the mountain. And me with my iPad. Grrrrr!!!!

Then, after a week of getting stuck at Yokota AB, I finally took a chance on a C-17 going to Guam., It was one of VP Pence's support aircraft, when he visited Japan, on his way to Indonesia for a major ASEAN conference. Got to Andersen AFB, Guiam. First the luggage was unloaded, then it was our turn.

Outside of the Andersen AFB Terminal (and it's great international clock)/ I slept outside, under the awning, in front of the entrance. It rained much of the night. The Commissary is across the way, so I had good food to eat..

The next morning I managed to get a seat on one of the aircraft going to Hawaii, It started out like this, but once we're airborne and on cruising altitude...

...turned into this. It helps to have a sleeping pad. I now have one. Ordered from Amazon.

Which then stranded me in Hawaii, on base, for three days. It was the day before Thanksgiving, when I got a seat on a C-17 back to Travis.
