For me at least, this was an overall unsuccessful trip. While I love to travel and enjoyed being here, for this year my means were limited, and I had only planned to visit the DMZ (Demilitarized Zone between North and South Korea). Try as I might, for any number of reasons, not the least of which was a national holiday, I was unable to manage it and will have to return. Not that I mind. I will come back with 'deeper pockets' and will spend a little time in Seoul once again in addition to finally visiting the DMZ.

 

As in Germany, too, the pig is considered good fortune in Asia, This one sits right at the start of the Osan shopping area outside of the main gate.

 

It's pretty much 'shop till you drop' for many. Just about anything can be had here, unique and tailor-made.

 

And no getting hungry while shopping either. All taken care of in any number of ways and styles
