Asakusa, Tokyo

Asakusa not only has the excellent and very popular temple and shrine, great shopping arcade, but now also the nearby Sky Tower, the new Tokyo Tower, but wait! There really is even more that I will have to explore on my next visit there.

Getting there is easy from anywhere in Tokyo

And the tough rikshaw pullers (students making extra money) and the adoring high school girls

The wildly popular Sensoji Temple, just a minute's walk from the Asakusa subway exit

And a good time is guaranteed for all - this was a Saturday, and it was packed

Knives and a lady from Denmark who though I was from there, too

Oh yes, masks of every level of quality and style

And expensive, high quality chopsticks.

There are fan stores

and icecream shops

and side streets and alleys filled with restaurants

and deli and more souvenir stores
