I have been to some 64 countries and never experienced driving quite as agressive as in Mongolia. On top of which, while people drive on the right side of the street, many cars, as the one we drove in, had right-side steering, leaving me with the task of calling passing strategy, which was fine, once I had a handle on the my driver's ability and the car's acceleration speeds. In the city, especially, it was simply close-combat. Not quite a destruction derby, but it sure felt like one. And traffic lights had absolutely no meaning at all, resulting, as you can expect, in constantly dead-locked intersections. If the cops were any smarter they might figure out that they are looking, at least temporarily, at a goldmine in traffic fines.

Trained Hunting Birds

This guy was amazing. He had three large raptor birds in the back of his station wagon, and to get them in and out for the tourists was, depending on the temperament of the bird to be extracted, quite a struggle and once accomplished a personal triumph.

The traditional home of the Mongolian nomads

The Stainelss Steel Genghis Khan

Immense in memory as he was in real life and here, impervious to winter and weather. Unfortunately closed when I got there, but nonetheless totally impressive.
