The Dubai Mall is huge, spectacular, and full of surprises. For example, I just missed Kim Kardassian, when she was there earlier the same evening. In addition to a skating rink, there was a real waterfall with the great sound of rushing water, a huge food court, where I ate but took no pictures, and the unexpected aquarium. I am a bit out of my depth in such places, surrounded by tons of fashionable shoppers, so I did not linger.
