Zagreb, Croatia 2011
Some travel to find themselves. Unexpectedly, I did - right here. |
I shopped there, of course, but watch the prices, they can change as you walk around and as demand varies. |
Must have been 'Be nice to old ladies Day' |
The Palace Hotel is just past the yellow building and that statue points at the main station |
The main entrance for the railroad station. Ticket windows to the left, after you enter. |
It's Hell being the junior nun. This one must do the walk of penance every day and bring food from the market to the convent. The stairs go on quite a way behind me, too. |
I loved that tent. It was filled with all sorts of local Croat foods and wines, as well as these fragrant natural soaps |
We heard that Nielsen from the Naked Gun was dead, but he is alive and well in Zagreb, selling the Electricna Peka with success |
These ladies are selling the pear liquor and the unique honey mead. Speaking of which, I just found an American version that the distillers of Wild Turkey are producing, a honey liquor called 'American Honey', and it is as good as these local varieties. |
