Oslo 2001

One of the greatest thing you can do when in Oslo, is to take the Norway in a Nutshell train to a fjord.

At some point the train will stop, then descend into the ends of the fjord's rugged landscape until it gets to this waterfall and everyone got out to see it, when suddenly out of the mist appears this lady and over the speakers you hear her sing. It's a pretty wonderful scene, albeit a bit corny, but being simple of mind, probably like most people around me, we all seemed to thoroughly enjoy the experience. .

The train keeps descending and finally you are at sea level. Some people, smarter and more experienced, had booked themselved on to Bergen by ship. Me, I still have an excuse to revisit that great nation yet again.
