After Landing at Hickam AFB, I headed to Pearl Harbor for lodging.

The USS Arizona monument, so close, and a Navy-run ferry leaving nearly on the doorstep of my lodge, but I had only a one night layover, and had forgotten my Nexus 7 tablet charging wire and needed to go to the Navy Exchange to get a new one. The base shuttle bus runs just once an hour and by the time I got back, the ferry had shut down for the day. The next morning was departure. Next time.

Hungry as I was, I got to sample a Vitamix blend offered in the Navy Exchange. These are the ingredients. Perfect for Hawaii

A fellow traveler, heading to Osan AB

Always remembered this, my favorite Hawaiian picture on the wall of the Hickam AFB passenger terminal restaurant

The next stop was a blast from the distant past, when, during the Vietnam War I was part of Arc-Light on Andersen AFB, Guam, and a couple of visiting B-52 bombers.

A familiar and friendly place, the Yokota AB passenger terminal in Japan

Samurai armor, well-known sight to all who ever stopped at the Yokota AB terminal

The Osan AB main gate

From Travis AFB, CA, to Hickam AFB, HI, Andersen AFB, Guam, Yokota AB, Japan, and finally Osan AB, South Korea
