Tyre

Phoenicians, Egyptians, Greeks, and Romans, among those who used, and added buildings to, the harbor of Tyre
Tyre, already 1000s of years old when the Romans arrived. This is the agora, the market.
Many thousands of years old harbor structures still in place, and probably begging to be properly excavated
Overlooking a harbor in use for 5000 years or more in what was once the Tyrenian Sea

A head of a Medusa on a Greek sarcophagus
There was ancient glass to be found everywhere, little pieces, and I picked some of it up. The locals were offering ancient coins, too. This is a chunck of glass and melted rock that was found in one of the Roman furnaces.

Life in happy Hezbollahland. I was not particularly welcome here.
