The Imperial Palace Gardens

Open for viewing of the Cherry Blossoms

Unfortunately I went on a Sunday. I had a flight out on Monday. That meant, huge crowds. I was not disappointed. To the Japanese this was a very big deal. I had visited the gardens before, but this time went, of course, to admire the Sakura, the cherry trees in full bloom.

The Central Tokyo Train Station. Always clean, free of derelicts, and safe at any time of the day and night

Crowd control, although, it was a typically well behaved crowd, however, crowds do have a momentum and at times are difficult to channel, even here, in Japan. Additionally, there were a fair number of foreign tourists among them, who, like me, did not understand the instructions.

Let me tell you, it takes a special skill and patience, to take pictures without the huge mass of people all around intruding, but it was still very rewarding to be here
