Nafplio, Greece 2001

My daily exercise walk/run. 1000 steps to the gate of the Ottoman fortress gate
Almost there - pant!

I dared this only twice. I have almost no fear of heights, and went out on this crumbling wall, a long way above the city, right to the end of it. Knees do shake a bit, by that time. There is nothing below to catch you other than rock.

You can see the train terminate at the little red-roofed station house.

The Ilion, a very interesting and nice, although oddly furnished, guesthouse.
Downtown: the shoreline of Nafplio
You can spend pleasant hours walking all around the penninsula.

A most unusual sight, at least to me, a small crab taking a ride on one of a number of these graceful jellyfish

Argos
The train from Corinth into the Peloponnese at Argos Station. The train to Nafplio is visible in the background.
